Many educational studies have shown that volunteering helps to weave the fibers of a strong, vital, healthy community. The act of volunteering also helps to reinforce a multitude of the “40 Developmental Assets” so important for a successful student’s maturation
Several non-profit agencies, including the public schools, depend on the generosity of volunteers to fulfill a multitude of tasks. Without these caring souls, some non-profits would simply cease to exist.
Personally, volunteers benefit in that they are able to hone
interpersonal and organizational skills.

student must complete and submit the Verification of Community Service form now
available in the Main Office,
