Basically, "Country Western Dancing" is square dancing.  The teachers just try to make it seem not as embarrassing when they say we are going to do Country Western Dancing.  Basically we have to spin around in circles, and be embarrassed by having to dance with opposite gender.  My mom thinks we should learn how to waltz, which would be just as embarrassing to do, but we could actually do it somewhere.  Because, how many people do you know that when you have to dance at the prom or whatever, you start square dancing?  It's just not done.  Unless where you live country western dancing is accepted.  But I doubt it.  Nobody square dances, unless you move to the country and change your name to Billy Paul.
