The History of Merlin

    Merlin was, as we know, the magician, prophet, and the advisor of king Arthur. He was created in the 12th century  by Geoffrey of Monmouth, in his book, History of the Kings of Britain. Merlin was famous for his prophecys in the book. He's also been written about in many books today. Merlinwas the advisor to King Aurther. In The Lost Years of Merlin by T.A. Barron it talks about Merlin as a boy.
One of Merlins most famous phophecies was were the red and white dragon fighting. This symbolizes the English and the Welsh fighting, were the the Welsh almost beats the English but in the end the Enlish win. This has been written about in many books, hundreds of years ago and tiday. Merlin was a hero of tales in old days, his stories would be told to young people in the feudal days.
    Merlin, also called Myrddin, is said to have been the child of and angle. Merlin is a Druid, shaman, monk, bard, magician, astronomer, youth and old sage. Merlin's predictions have always came true. It is said that out of his many powers, he being able to transform was the strongest.It is said that Merlin arranged the test, for Arthur in the sword and stone  to see who would become the next King of England. In stories it is said that this is what the stone says Who so ever pulls out the sword of this stone and anvil, is right wise king born of all England. In every story on Merlin he is somehow related to Arthur pulling out the sword from the stone.
    Merlin also created the Round Table for an Uther Pendragon. The Round Table played a role in the mysteries of the Grail. It was also Merlin who took Arthur to the Lady of the Lake at the Fountain of Barenton.
