In Dan's childhood he did many fun things that he has told me about. One of the things that he remembers the most is shooting. Dan shot all kinds of guns at all kinds of animals. Dan's favorite thing to shoot was deer. He also shot quail and geese. One of his guns that he still has  today is a shotgun with his family name engraved on it. Dan shot for sport more than he did for food. Although they did have there own food he did do some shooting for food. His father was a championship shooter so he taught Dan what he knew about shooting. That was a very important bonding expierence for Dan and his father. Shooting was a very important part of Dan's childhood.
