Out field

Outfield, is 3 different positions. right field ,center field ,and left field. the point of the out field is to back up the in field and catch the farther hits like line drives and pop fly balls. it is a good positions because you have to back up catches and errors. right field backs up throws to first base because if the first base man misses the catch the runner would advance to second or third like in left from throws to third. center field is important and where you would usually get more action because most kids can't pull the ball that far so the usually go to center. Also you back up second base.
