Different Pitches

There are many different pitches in baseball.  Professional baseball players usually have about four pitches.  Pitchers my age have about two or sometimes three pitches.  I myself have three pitches.  I throw a two seam fastball, a knuckle curve ball, and a change-up.  Pitches in baseball do different things and move different ways depending on the way you grip it.  Pitches are meant to deceive the batter.  My favorite pitch in baseball is the knuckle ball.  I like this pitch for some odd reasons.  My main reason i like the knuckle ball is because I know how hard it is to hit.  It is also very hard to throw.  The knuckle ball has its name because you grip the ball with your knuckles when you throw it.  By doing this the ball moves as it is going to the plate and there is very little spin on the ball.  Tim Wakefield has probably the best knuckle ball in major league baseball and he is very famous for his fantastic knuckle ball pitch.  Here are some pictures that show how to grip a curve ball, a change-up and a fastball.
