There are a lot of extreme sports out there that are very fun but are not played very much because they are new and out of the ordinary. They range from watersports like surfing, wakeboarding, and skiing to sports like motorcross and downhill bikeriding. What i like about extreme sports is that nobody else is with you while you are doing them, you are on your own. Extreme sports are awsome because they are a lot faster and and take a lot different kind of skill than regular sports.
Sportsmanship, within any given game, is how each competitor acts before, during, and after the competition. Not only is it important to have good sportsmanship if one wins, but also if one loses. For example, in football it is considered sportsmanlike to kick the ball out of play to allow treatment for an injured player on the other side. Reciprocally, the other team is expected to return the ball from the throw-in.
Extreme sports have
always been around but nobody really knew about them until the X-Games
went on ESPN in 1995. Since then, many atheletes have made much money and
a lot of fans while doing the things they love. There are also other extreme
sports competitions, such as The Gravity Games, the Asian Extreme
Games, and Australian
equivalent are also very popular.
Traditional sports are still very popular but people today are starting to do a lot more extreme sports than traditional. For many people traditional team sports mean a lot of coaching, rules, pressure, and competition. Hence many people are attracted to the individuality and unconventionality that is characteristic of extreme sports. People are also attracted to extreme sports because they're considered "cool".
