Right there in front of me
was one of the most spectacular, although, very weirdest sites I have ever
seen. The "oh so great" Jarome Beaver being cheered for by the many throngs
of people as I stared transfixed at him too. Jarome was on his surfboard
riding an extremely large wave that towered above him as he rode the wave
doing an amazing trick.
Jarome was spinning backwards on his tiptoes
and screaming out his lungs for not apparent reason. He waved at the crowd
just as the wave broke, and lets just say that he pretty much did too.
For a few seconds, everyone saw no sign of Jarome Beaver in the ferocious
wave. Then someone screamed and out popped Jarome's head up from the water.
He was flailing his arms furiously has he was dunked and tossed rapidly
by the killer wave. The interesting part about this, was the fact that
Jarome, though was being literally torn apart,
was apparently laughing on his way towards shore. Everyone on the beach
was very puzzled and wasn't sure to worry, or join in the laughter, so
they just stayed quite.
When Jarome washed up on shore,
he was still giggling as he gurgled up water. Paramedics rushed to him,
but he said he didn't need any help. The competition continued on, and
Jarome kept on surfing in it. He even ended up winning the competition!
It was quite impressive if you ask me, and I was very glad that my father,
though slept through the whole thing, took me to Galveston to see this
very interesting site!
That's kind of what he looked like ~
