Platypus
Habitat:
Burrows on the edges of rivers and freshwater lakes
Food:
Insect larvae, shrimps, worms, and other small creatures who live in lakes
and rivers
Description:
Dense fur, a duck like bill covered in leathery skin, webbed feet, can
grow up to 12-18 inches long, and tail can grow up to 4-6 inches
Behavior:
Spend most of day resting in their burrow or at the entrance of their burrow
basking in the sun and grooming their fur, swimming and diving, and most
active a few hours before dusk
This is a platypus diving into a river or lake.
