Olympics
    Olympics have many different events for its summer and winter olympics.  Today we are going to talk about the summer olympics becuase that is where synchronized swimming classifies.  The history of the summer olympics dates way back in the years 776 B.C through 393 A.D until the Roman emporer banned all pagan festivals.
    Greeks did the olympics for the Greek Gods such as Zues and were held every for years.
    During the 13th Olympics, the only event held was the foot race of 200 yards.  Other events came over time like boxing, chariot races, and track and field events.
    Synchronized swimming wasn't introduced to the summer olympics until the mid 1900s and the first duet to enter the olympics was in 1984.  In 1951, synchronized swimming was really getting reconized from colleges and people.  Then it went off like a BOOM!  Click the link under this paragraph to go to a website about the history of synchronized swimming in the olympics.
