Microsoft Word
In this essay, I am going to tell you a little bit about Microsoft Word. I will tell you what I did to get an essay, that I wrote, from paper, to this web page right here. The very first thing I did to my essay was: read the first sentence of this essay. Then, I started to type it, using the key board. After that, I read the next sentence and started to type that. I did that until I was finished. After I was finished with my essay, I wanted to save it. So, I went File, and I clicked Save As. It gave me a dialog box that had a little window. The window showed me a whole bunch of files and documents that had been saved under that saved under the main file name. I wanted to save my essay/document under that name, so, I typed the name of it in the text box that had words near it that said, "File name:". So I typed in that name of my essay in that text box. At last, I clicked the command button in the button left part of the window that said "Save". I was almost finished with my essay, but there was one thing left, the pictures, the Clipart. Yes, the Clipart. So, I clicked: Insert, Picture. Then, it gaves me a list of Pictures and Animations. Oh yeah! Now I'm in business! I picked a picture and then, I was loving life. Making the essay was like heaven to me. Me and my very first essay. Cool! I saved it and then, I printed it and kissed it. I was very proud of myself.
Now, I write this essay. It is not so exciting because I have writen so many essays before (including the essay I had talked about before, in this essay). I kind of like to write essays of the computer because, not only do I get to make an actual essay, but I get to practice my typing skills as well.
Mr. Coward makes us do these, "Perfect Papers". These are, what you would call, essays. But these types of essays are much different. How? Well, they are different, in that, after you write the essay, you proofread it, and you do all these things just so it could be "Perfect". Then you turn it in and you get your grade on it. And if it is perfect, you get extra credit on it. If you get two or more perfect papers, you get your name on the board and you don't have to do any more perfect papers for the rest of the year.
