Sumo Suit By:Chris

So far Physical Education (PE)
is great, but if there was one thing just, just one thing I could change
about the PE curriculum I would take Square Dancing
out and replace it with Sumo Wrestling.
I would
take Square Dancing out because it is not very fun and second, because
we did Square Dancing in Elementary School. I think that because it would
most likely be a lot of fun and we all would get a couple good laughs out
of seeing our friends in a giant Sumo Wrestling suit
(Ha Ha Ha)!!! If we did it, it would give a lot of people the chance to
try something new, get a little stronger, and help relieve some of the
stress plus you could throw your opponent out of the ring (of course we
would have a mat down so no one would get hurt!)
Also it could
be used as a self-defense class! It could also
be helpful as far as fund-raisers go. We could have students wrestle teachers
and have the students who want to watch, pay an admission fee. We could
have a once a month "Wrestle the Teachers Night" or "Wrestle Your Parents
Night" and the money we raise can go to buying real
and new gym equipment or other things needed in other subjects. For example
we might be able to have real tennis rackets in gym. Or in Home Economics
students and parents wouldn't have to donate food it would have previously
paid for by the school, or other school related things. Here are just a
few of the many reasons why I think Sumo Wrestling should replace Square
Dancing.
I think
Sumo Wrestling should be in PE. Whether it would be a part of the curriculum
or just a fund-raiser. It would be fun and a new experience for the people
at school!
