My School Improvment essay is about not having homework.
This is why I don't think that students should have homework.
I don't think that the seventh and eighth graders should have to have homework.
You're probably wondering why I'm asking you to let all of the students
at this school not to have homework, but let me explain why I and many
other students want this. I don't think that all of the students
at this school should have to have homework. The one reason why I don't
think that we should have homework is just because we don't like homework.
I agree with them because i'm a student and i don't like homework either.
Many schools in the east and not very many schools in the west don’t have
homework and some don’t even have school for as long as we do. So why should
we have to have homework and go to school for
longer then other students? Most of the teachers
at this school say that we have so much homework in all of our classes,
so then we can remember all of it. I don’t agree with them; I think
that we should have the choice whether to have homework or not.
All students have to stay in school for over half of a year, so that means
that we don’t get very much vacation time.
That means more homework during the rest of our school year.
I think that if we don’t have very much vacation time that we shouldn’t
have to have homework. Most of the stuff that we learn in school we are
never going to remember or ever use in life.
If we didn’t have homework it would be less stressful on teachers and on
students. The teachers wouldn’t have to worry about correcting our
homework because there wouldn’t be any, and the students wouldn’t have
to worry about getting their homework on time. Most students have
activities after school so that would make it so they would have more time
with their activities rather then doing homework.
I hope that you will take my request into consideration; it would mean
a lot to me and many other students if we didn’t have any homework.
