When
I was in the fourth grade my mom made me play football
on a school team, at first I didn't want to but my friends said it would
be fun. One of my friends said he was on the team so I felt a little better.
My uncle said he was on the high school team, he said it was a pretty rough
sport, that was not helping at all.
Finally the day of tryouts was here, I was very
scared at first but then I realized I could just purposely fail so I didn't
have to do it, but then I remembered my mom was bragging about me being
on the football team so I decided to really try. It was my turn and I had
to throw the ball as far as I could, and I had to run as fast as I could.
I
passed the tryouts and my team was called The Pirates,
our colors were purple and gold. Our first game was in about a week, we
were going against a team with one of my friends on it so I felt bad. My
mom and my other family members were there including my uncle. I ran up
to them and told them I was scared, My uncle told me it was going to be
hard and very rough. My coach called me over and said the game was about
to start so we made up a plan and went onto the field to play. By the time
the game started I had already forgot the plan and started panicking and
almost cried because I thought my teammates would hate me. I was to busy
trying to think of the play that I didn't hear anything and all of a sudden
everyone started running. I got up and ran as fast as I could towards our
goal, then I looked back and saw the ball coming towards me and I put my
hands out and caught the ball, I ran and ran as fast as I could. I scored
that point and everyone thought it was cool. We won that game and went
on to the next.
We actually made it to the Little Leagues Super
Bowl and it was the same team we played the first game against. We
made up a play and started the game, of course I could remember the play
by now. We ran to our positions as the other team got ready. I was really
scared of not catching the ball or tripping. Everyone started running so
I ran with them. My friend Mark caught the ball and ran as fast as he could
towards the goal and we scored first and thought we were going to win.
Towards the end of the game they were ahead and we had the ball. we made
up the same plan as we made up on the first try. My friend Mark said, "Even
if we score we just tie the game."
I told every one to still try because even if we tie up with them we didn't
lose and they can't brag. So every one agreed they would still try to win.
We all got in our positions once again. We got up and started running towards
the goal but their team was gaining on us fast, I threw the ball to another
one of my friend's, Jason. He caught the ball and ran towards the goal
but one of the other teams people grabbed his legs, he flew forward and
missed the goal line by almost ten yards..
