Top Ten Point Guards in the NBA

“Hello and welcome to Inside the NBA with your host Ahmad Rashad and joining us tonight will be Paul Sunderland of the Los Angeles Lakers broadcast booth. Paul why don’t you start tonight?”

     “Okay Ahmad, thanks.”
“These are my Top Ten Point Guards of the NBA.”
#10 Stephan Marbury of the Suns.
“Now Ahmad this guy ain’t as good as Kobe or Tracy, but he averages about 17 or 18 points a game and averages around 10 assists per game. I think Marbury could make it down to the top 5 if he steps it up a little and takes his team to the playoffs. He had 31 points and 11 assists in the win over the Timberwolves.”
#9 Gilbert Arenas of the Warriors.
“Wow, what a player Gilbert Arenas is! He averages around 22 points per game and he is only 20! The Warriors got him after his first year in college. The boy really has some skills. He had 24 points in Philly last night.”
#8 Andre Miller of the Clippers.
“Miller has some skills just like Arenas does. He can score dribble and pass. I would like to see him be a little bit more controlled when it comes to fouls. He has gotten about 32 technicals this season over fouls. He had 14 points and 6 assists and 13 rebounds against the Lakers on Friday.”
#7 Michael Jordan of the Wizards.
“Yes, this one is good; Jordan has really stepped up to this challenge, KNEES. He has been hurt on the same knee about 4 times and he is 40 years old and is still playing! It is spectacular! He is such a good player and averages about 18 points a game. That is why I chose him.”
#6 Jason Kidd of the Nets.
“Jason has played pretty well this season. He has not been the best like he was last year but he has played pretty well to me. He had 31 points in the win over the Cavaliers, Sunday.”
#5 Paul Pierce of the Celtics.
“Paul Pierce has had a great season so far and he has been one of those players that I have been watching. He averages about 25 points a game and about 6 rebounds. He had 47 points in the LOSS to the Warriors.”
#4 Baron Davis of the Hornets.
“Davis has had a fairly good season this year and has averaged about 19 points a game. He also is about 8th in the league in assists with 6.5 and about 3.4 rebounds a game. I think he is playing very well.”
#3 Allen Iverson of the 76er’s.
“Iverson for three….. GOT IT!!! He has been outstanding from outside the ark this season shooting 51.3% and averages 26 points per game. His three point shooting is the best in the league. He has really learned to pass the ball more than he has in his whole career! He has really stepped it up a lot!”
#2 Tracy Mcgrady of the Magic.
“ Wowser! That sure was a dunk by T-Mac. He has thrown it off the backboard and back to himself for the dunk I like to call…….. the T-Mac dunk!! He is on my list for the All Star Game. He averages about 31 points a game and 7 rebounds a game, but… he is not as good as #1.”
#1 Kobe Bryant of the Lakers.
“Can he make it 13…… YES,YES,YES!!!! Kobe Bryant has just broken the record for most three pointers in one game………. 13!! Kobe has had 9 straight games
with 40 points or more. He also shoots 40.3% from the court. He gets 7 rebounds a game and he averages about 5.6 assists per game. This is why I chose him for the #1 spot in my Top Ten Point Guards of the NBA.“
“Those are my Top Ten Point Guards in the NBA.”
