~*~For hundreds of years, people have been writing down their thoughts and interests through stories as well as poetry. Over the centuries, many well-known stories and poems have accumulated. It would be very difficult to mention each one, but I will mention some of the short stories and poems which are my favorites. One famous writer of short stories and poems of horror is Edgar Allan Poe. Some of his more well-known poems include: The Raven, To Helen, The Bells, To My Mother, Israfel, etc.(For more poems, Click Here.) Some short stories include: The Fall of the House of Usher, The Premature Burial, The Gold Bug, and The Murders in The Rue Morgue. These are of course only a few of Edgar Allan Poe's famous writings.
