The lifeguard organization today began with a helicopter and two regular EMT's on Memorial Day in 1988. It started off by helping serve national park service by transporting trauma patients of to Lake Powell to a trauma center. They started this because park service workers would call in on a regular bases telling them to come pick up hurt passengers. The helicopters would come from Bryce Canyon. The two peoples names were Mark Henderson owner of the organization, and Dan Rubert, the pilot. From there in on Rubert tried to maintain a professional bases for each day that they were called into help.
