Length:  One quarter
Description:  This introductory course provides students the opportunity to develop skills associated with metal and woodworking.  Students will be introduced to the operations of tools, equipment, and related materials with an emphasis on projects and safety.

SHOP I
Grade Level:  8
Prerequisite:  None
Length:  Two semesters
Description:  Students will be introduced to the safe operation of tools, equipment, and materials in the areas of drafting, woodworking, and plastics.  Emphasis will be placed on individual student projects and shop safety.  For individual course projects beyond curriculum objectives, students may be charged a supply/materials fee.
