Science Journal
You will need a large spiral notebook with approximately 150-200 pages.
Your science journal will be a record of your 8th grade science class.
All you need to bring to class is your Science Journal and a pencil.

Backpacks
Backbacks are not allowed in Ms. Naylor's Science Class
Backpacks...

            ...take up too much space
            ...distract other students
            ...students believe they can keep them under the desk, but they don't
            ...are a safety hazard
            ...students should not carry more than 17% of their body weight
            ...should be stored in your locker
            ...should not be stored in another teacher's classroom
            ...may not be stored outside the classroom or in the bushes

Ways to lighten your load:
Bring only your morning/afternoon class materials.
For example:  Math binder and book + your Science Journal.
There is no reason for you to carry a 25 pound backpack around.
