How to enroll in the online literature discussion.
-
Go to the Blackboard
login screen. Use your school username and password to log in.
-
At the next screen, click the tab that says "Courses."
-
In the first search box -- "Course Search" -- type in "Mrs.
Spafford" without the quotes, and click GO.
-
When "Mrs. Spafford's Discussion Groups" pops up, click the
Enroll button.
-
On the next screen, click Submit.
-
On the screen that says "You have been successfully enrolled
in "Mrs. Spafford's Discussion Groups," click OK.
-
Follow the directions on the next screen.
Once you're enrolled, it's time to join the discussion.
-
Click on the appropriate forum.
-
This will show you the threads of discussion that are going
on. A discussion thread is a specific subject related to the general conversation.
-
You can:
-
Click on a thread to respond or comment on that subject.
This is what you do when there's a thread already talking about what you
wanted to comment on. To read each comment, click on its subject. To reply
to a comment, click the reply button.
-
Start a new thread of conversation, by clicking on the "Add
New Thread." This is what you do when you have something else you want
to comment on, and want to start a new topic of conversation.
-
The requirement is at least 1 post per day, M-Th.
-
Your comments should be more than a sentence
or two in length, and they will be graded like any other type of literature
responding; you need to show that you're thinking about the literature.
