PTA MEETINGS: Thank you to the staff and parents that attended our November PTA Meeting. PTA Meetings are the second Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the staff lounge. Mark your calendar for our next PTA Meeting which is on Monday, December 14th. This is a great way to meet other parents and get involved. We still have an opening for PTA Secretary. If you are interested in serving as our secretary or on any other committee, please
contact any PTA Board Member. Congratulations to Annette Montoya who was elected PTA Treasurer at our October Meeting.

MEMBERSHIP: Laguna PTA would like to thank all of our wonderful families and staff members for joining PTA. We thank you for your generous donations and contributions. PTA helps sponsor many of the activities and special assemblies that enrich our children’s lives and your membership makes a difference. Thank you to Membership Chair Susan Hack for coordinating our membership snack certificates and for the Jamba Juice for our two top classes. We had over 403 family members contribute to PTA. Congratulations to Mr. Wright’s and Mr. Nett’s class for having the highest percentage of membership participation.

MAGAZINE DRIVE: Our major fundraiser, the Laguna Magazine Drive has had our children busy collecting magazine subscriptions and re-orders. Our children have been helping to raise funds for their school while at the same time earning some great incentives. Once our Magazine Drive is completed and online orders are tallied, we will have final numbers to share with everyone. We want to thank all of our Laguna Middle School families and friends for their generous support with our Magazine Drive. A Big Thank You to Lori Olin, our Magazine Drive Chair person and her hard working committee.

ESCRIP: If you have not done so, please remember to register your Albertsons, Scolaris, Vons and Ralph’s Community Cards with the Laguna Middle School Identification number. It is simple and takes just a few minutes to do. We have enclosed in the newsletter the forms for you to complete, sign and take to the grocery stores. When your cards have been registered with the Laguna Middle School Identification Number a percentage of your shopping total will be donated to our school. Remember to pick up the Spencer’s Community Card as well. If you have any questions or for more information, please contact our Escrip Coordinator, Renoda Monza.

GENERAL MILLS BOX TOPS: Laguna Middle School is collecting General
Mills Box Tops, so please remember to clip and turn them in. Our first period class rooms have collection envelopes for these Box Tops and we will be awarding our top classroom with a special treat. Our first collection period for Box Tops ended October 31st. Congratulations to Mrs. Jones and her 1st period class for collecting and submitting 405 Box Tops. Second place goes to Mr. Benitez with 313 Box Tops. Keep collecting those Box Tops as our next submission date is in February. Thank you to Susan Segal Wood for volunteering to be our Box Tops Coordinator.
